Office WareHouse holds documents in secured areas called 'Storage Places'. The contents of Storage Places are supervised and user access to them is controlled. Storage Places comprise of physical file storage together with indexes or search criteria.

Office WareHouse will work on a single PC or in a network environment. It will operate on any PC capable of running Windows NT4, 95 or above, or it can be run directly from a Windows server. It can store and supervise any file regardless of the originating application.

Office WareHouse will store and manage any file regardless of type. Documents can be images of paper documents scanned into the system or they may be word processed files, CAD files, spreadsheet files, text files, etc. Document types can be mixed freely and related information can be grouped together when required.

Storage and retrieval

Finding documents within Office WareHouse is possible using a range of search facilities. These facilities are presented in a highly graphical user interface within Office WareHouse. System administration can be carried out without the need for programming effort. This includes the setup and maintenance of an unlimited number of Storage Places and document index formats.

The open architecture of Office WareHouse allows Integration with existing systems and packages regardless of the platform on which these systems reside. For example, Workflow can be integrated so that it interacts with Office WareHouse to allow documents to flow between business processes

Hardware and software

Office WareHouse will work with any scanner and or any storage medium. You can choose the database environment with which you want to work. Office WareHouse is certified for use with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access
